Amen Break have been making wine out of North Otago’s beautiful Waitaki Valley since 2013. As well as a decent drop, our client Steve produces music out of Sublime Studio — a fully equipped recording setup nestled in the heart of the vineyard. Musicians who take pilgrimage to the studio are treated to locally sourced food, luxury accommodation and, of course, wine from Amen Break.

Named for the ‘Amen Break’, one of the most sampled drum beats in musical history, our design had to honour this iconic piece of musicianship while having contemporary shelf appeal for those who might not be aware of it’s background (though are likely familiar with this 6 second, 4 bar piece of drumming genius on a subconscious level)
