A gift from Christchurch to the people of Wellington. Estelle Catering is the next chapter for our friend and local culinary hero Tom, created after he farewelled his much-loved Estelle café in Ōtautahi and made the move north to Pōneke.

Building on the visual language of the original café, we created a simple, straight-talking website designed to let the food do most of the work. Big imagery, minimal fuss and an easy path to ordering put Tom’s sandwiches, desserts and hot meals front and centre.

The thinking behind Estelle is equally uncomplicated: feeding more people shouldn’t mean lowering the bar. The food is considered, delicious and memorable, whether it’s for a handful of people or a whole room.

For us, this was a small but particularly satisfying project. A chance to help Tom carry Estelle into its next chapter, and introduce Wellington to what Christchurch already knew was very good indeed.
